I started this project recently after reading about Map Projection. First I tirelessly hunted for a program that would do projection justice and realized that I might be able to contribute. Here is what I have so far. It is a 1000x600 flash movie with a bunch of different "modules" loaded into it. Later on I plan to make it so you can choose only the modules you wish to use. Right now the "grid" module is making the program run rather slowly :(

Coming soon (hopefully):
Dice
Map Loader
Background Loader
Character Tracker
Configurable Spell Animations!!!!!
Improved Liquid Controls (lava, poison lakes, etc.)
Mini-games :D

The interface is in its rough stages and there are some bugs. Nevertheless, I am an actionscript newbie so don't yell at me. There is a main control panel on the bottom that controls the other control panels for the separate modules. The red ball is the dice portion is not complete, but you can drag it around and throw it. When it first loads up, the map you see is actually the "mask" (for DM eyes only). Open up the "Fog of War" controls, pick a brush and start erasing on the map. There is a vertical slider on the Fog of War controls that adjusts the visibility of the Mask map. You would play with the mask completely invisible and erase as the players progress. You can also draw animated water onto the map! This was very difficult! I have a long way to go, wish me luck and I hope you can all put this to good use as it grows. Just play around with it and have fun.

Almost forgot. If you hit your numpad number keys they make little pointers (which I plan to animate and colorize). They are intended to point out whose turn it is. Key 5 is the center and you can drag the contraption around.

I imagine having a wireless mouse on the tabletop for the players to use. In the future, the grid with be functional (each grid square would be a button), so players can choose their grid position.
